Listen-Plan-Design-Evaluate-Rebalance
We strive to intimately understand client goals and desires to better create investment strategies to help our clients pursue their goals. We pursue this through five strategized and sequential steps.
- Listen: First, we listen to you. We want to understand your evolving goals, family considerations, cash-flow and liquidity needs, tolerance for risk, tax matters, and estate planning issues.
- Plan: Through Stifel, we work with you to create a dynamic, customized financial plan, which tracks all aspects of your financial life, including, but not limited to, retirement planning, asset allocation, estate planning strategies, insurance needs, and education funding. A solid plan is one of the most important factors in determining whether families and individuals may be able to reach their objectives. It is your roadmap to pursuing your financial goals.
- Design Your Customized Strategy: The aforementioned plan provides us personalized data, such as risk tolerance, tax matters, time horizon, and liquidity necessary to help you design your customized portfolio. The process of finding the ideal portfolio among thousands of possibilities and your individual inputs is called portfolio optimization. Stifel’s cutting-edge analytical portfolio optimization tools are crucial to developing and implementing a customized strategy based upon each client’s unique requirements, time horizon, and risk tolerance.
- Periodic Meetings and Rebalancing: Periodic reviews with you help you understand and discover whether adjustments need to be made in addition to rebalancing your portfolio on an as-needed basis. Your portfolio performance is measured against your risk-adjusted, customized benchmark – that way we can determine if you are pursuing your goals without undue risk. These reviews are critical to making sure that your investment plan reflects your lifetime objectives. As your circumstances change, we work with you to adjust your portfolio to reflect those changes and adjust your investment plan accordingly. We provide market and strategy updates at quarterly meetings and explain the previous quarter’s activity. Quarterly meetings are a time to become better acquainted. The Hoover Billings Advisory Group prides ourselves in understanding your investment needs and delivering outstanding service to you.
